This year on 11/11 Don's Mobile Glass was privileged to be involved in a great cause, "Driving for Change" where Farmers Insurance and Alfred Mathews Body Shop teamed up in a donation of a refurbished vehicle that is going to help change lives. In this rebuild, Don's donated a new windshield and installation, as well as a gift basket filled with goodies for making car washes nice and easy! This year's recipient was a very deserving non profit organization, Inner-Faith Ministries who help those in the greater Modesto area who are in need of food, clothing and other humanitarian services. This new truck with help transport food and goods and help make their deliveres.
Their previous vehicle had over 300k miles, and was constantly breaking down costing them hundreds of dollars in repairs. So this new addition to their operation is going to help more than anyone knows! This is the 3rd year Farmers and Alfred Mathews have rebuilt and donated a vehicle and Don's Mobile Glass is happy and proud to do our part!
As well as this project, Don's Mobile Glass has also kicked off our company wide campaign with United Way. Our own Clint Mort is on the board of United Way, and is defiantly a driving factor in Don's participation. And like the last 13 years, Don's Mobile Glass matches dollar for dollar what
its' employees raise and donate. Our goal for 2015 is $10,000, and with us all working together it is very reachable! This campaign works great because our employees can designate any non profit agency they want their money to go to, or the United Way can help disperse the funds. On the list of agencies that United Way works closely with is of course Inner-Faith Ministries. So it just shows how many different ways we all can give back to our community.
