What is Auto Glass Week™?
Auto Glass Week™ (AGW™) is a massive exhibition and conference event for professionals in the auto glass repair industry. Every year, the nation’s top auto glass professionals converge on the event for the opportunity to network with industry suppliers and manufacturers, not to mention meeting up with our fellow auto glass peers.
This is a great chance for those involved in the auto glass industry to learn all about the latest auto glass trends, procedures, and products, as well getting a sneak peak at exciting developments and upcoming releases.

Auto Glass & Windshield Replacement Competitions
One of our favorite competitions that we are taking part in is the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) Large Company competition.
Affectionately known as the Olympics of the automotive glass industry, this is the most competitive game held during AGW, which sees auto glass technicians compete in a range challenges to determine the best technician in the country.
The competition highlights the skills and techniques of technicians by tasking competitors to complete different types of windshield replacements under timed conditions.
Not only that, but competitors need to showcase a keen understanding of the latest industry standards and their communication skills, such as building a friendly back and forth with ‘customers’.
We Are Proud of Our Star Technician
It’s quite a competitive event and we will be sending our very own technician to represent Don’s Mobile Glass! Collin Walton was a participant in 2016’s AGTO and finished in an impressive fourth place.
At just 24 years old, Collin has already clocked up five years’ experience as an auto glass technician, and he’s hoping to improve on that finish with his second go at the competition - be sure to join us in wishing Collin luck in the competition next month!

In response to the importance of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to the auto glass industry, the Auto Glass Safety Council™ has formed an ADAS Committee to lead its work in this area."
Our own Jacques Navant of Don’s Mobile Glass here in our Modesto location will be a member of this committee.
“The ADAS committee we will be working on developing the best practices for dealing with the advancements of automotive technology interacting with auto glass replacement.”
Jacques will also take over as chair of the AGSC™ Education Committee.
