The 2016 American Heart Association Stanislaus Heart Walk was successful in Modesto last weekend. Over 1,500 people joined together at the Modesto Junior College East Campus on Saturday to walk the 5K and raise awareness about heart disease and stroke. The AHA put on a great event with various activities including face painting, balloon animals and Sparkles the Clown, a jumper and many give-a-ways for the whole family. In addition to the family fun, there were also instructional booths that taught participants about what to do in an emergency including a CPR class.
Don's Mobile Glass has been part of this event for several years and while did not win this year's coveted t-shirt design award, we were happy to see all of the members of the community, family and friends at our booth. We also had over 50 employees walk this year and raised $600 toward the cause! As a whole, Stanislaus County has raised an impressive $156,405 to-date. We appreciate all of the involvement and sense of community that the Heart Walk provides. We hope to see you all again next year!
