Another successful Love Modesto event happened on Saturday, April 21st. For 9 years, the Love events have brought thousands of people together with practical solutions to help their community. The organization lists activities all over the city that people can join like cleaning up local parks and schools, helping the elderly with yardwork and gardening, restoring landmarks, and painting projects!!
Don's Mobile Glass was well represented this year by our team of volunteers who painted the basketball court poles and backboards, tetherball poles and a brand-new mural of the United States on the blacktop at Fremont Elementary School in Modesto. Groups also helped dig out the garden bed and placed new signage on the outer fence. Yes, it took a little elbow grease and creativity, but it was well worth it! We hope the students and staff at Fremont Elementary School were surprised and happy to see their new yard Monday morning. Go Falcons!!
While the Love Modesto event might be over, there are still plenty of opportunities to join Love Events happening in other cities. Check out what's happening in the Central Valley and throughout Northern California below!
