Customers generally think of a windshield replacement as an inconvenience and often choose a company by asking simple questions like...
A) How much is it?
B) Will it leak?
Ask the right questions and you will soon find that quality goes beyond what you can see...and hear.
Many customers don't know that in an accident, your windshield might save your life.
The windshield provides structural support to the cabin of the vehicle. In a front-end collision, the windshield provides up to 45% of the structural integrity of the vehicle and up to 60% in the event of a rollover (Safewindshields.org, 2017).
The windshield prevents you from being ejected from the vehicle, keeps the roof of your car from caving in, and allows the airbags to deploy properly protecting you and your passengers. When your windshield is replaced due to a crack or other damage, it is absolutely imperative that the procedure to replace it be done the right way. The windshield and glass play a vital role in the safety of your vehicle.
Don's Mobile Glass is committed to your safety. We belong to the Auto Glass Safety Council, AGSC, a non-profit organization developed to educate glass companies and consumers about the importance of automotive glass safety. The AGSC provides an in industry-wide accreditation program to set and maintain safety standards for the replacement of automotive glass.
Our technicians are taught to be the best and we guarantee our workmanship for life. Every Don's Mobile Glass Technician must complete a 6 to 8 week training program before working on your vehicle. We invest in quality and use the best adhesives available in the industry manufactured by SIKA® and apply them using world-renown installation methods. Creating a proper bond relies on exact processes necessary to enable the adhesives, primers and activators to work together to secure the windshield. We ensure that every customer understands the proper drive-away time and how to care for their newly installed windshield.
Miss just one-step and the bond will be compromised.
We never underestimate the importance of our trade. We aim to be the best in the business during the entire job, not just on the parts customers immediately see. If we fail, there is just too much to lose. In fact, we are honored to share a recent customer experience with you...
In March 2017, our Certified Auto Technician, Benito Fernandez, replaced a windshield for a customer in Turlock. Just a few weeks later, Mr. Clayton's wife was involved in a severe accident in which the other vehicle went through her windshield. The damage was severe, but the windshield remained bonded, keeping Mrs. Clayton safely inside the vehicle. The windshield replacement was skillfully executed by Benito. It supported the vehicle as it's designed to do and protected Mrs. Clayton. We could not be more grateful that our customer was not significantly harmed and we are very proud of Benito Fernandez for a job well done.
We expect every technician to provide a world-class installation every time. Benito did exactly what he was trained to do. For us, this is not "news" or something to boast about. For more than 50 years, we have understood the importance of our job. Our customers' safety will always be our number one priority. We did the right thing and someone made it home safely - we could not be more appreciative of that.
