Insulated glass walls and windows let the outside in while making a memorable design statement.
Architectural Digest magazine recently highlighted architect Philip Johnson’s “Glass House.” Located in Connecticut, the house’s walls are glass. That’s right, all four walls are glass. Stand on one side of the house and you can see through the interior and to the landscape on the other side. One visitor to the site said he was “particularly struck by how its transparency allows the landscape to flow right through the house.”
The house is stunning, but if you value privacy (and you’re not really a “place for everything and everything in its place” type of housekeeper), four glass walls might be a bit much. But, you can get some of the same effect with less – one glass wall, or a bank of windows. That way, the landscape can flow right into your home or business.
If you’re in the Central Valley and you decide you want one (or two or three or four) glass walls or just one window, the people to call are Don’s Mobile Glass. We’ve been supplying glass of all types – insulated, residential, custom, commercial, architectural and auto – to the area around Modesto, Manteca, Turlock and Merced for more than 55 years.
