New insulated-glass replacement windows can bring in light and enhance your living room's architectural details.
Southern Living magazine has declared 2015 to be the Year of the Living Room. And to prove it, the magazine’s website has 102 (!) tips on ways to decorate your living room.
Among them is upgrading your windows and doors. That doesn’t mean simply to change out an old, drafty window for a new insulated-glass window of the same size. It could mean a bigger change – highlighting the height of your ceilings by installing a taller door and windows. Not only does the change make your living room look larger, the magazine says, it will let in more light. And that, conveniently, ties in with three of the other tips: letting light in, letting in LOTS of natural light and bringing the outdoors in. Those are all goals that can be met with sparkly new windows, especially if they’re larger than the ones you have now.
Installing larger windows and doors with glass inserts won’t be a drain on your energy usage if you use insulated-glass replacement windows like the ones at Don’s Mobile Glass. The energy-efficient windows mean lower heating and cooling bills whether they’re the same size or larger. Once they’re in and you’ve taken advantage of the other 97 or so decorating tips, your living room will be so comfy that you won’t ever want to leave it, even to go someplace like Sunday’s country-fried afternoon with singers and songwriters sponsored by the folks at the Modesto Unplugged Music Festival.
