If you want a simple upgrade to your bathroom, add a glass shower door. Or redo the whole room with a glass-enclosed shower.
You take your kid to soccer practice and when you get home, you find you’re almost as hot and dirty as your child. (Must be something to do with jumping up and down on the sidelines cheering.) Then it’s time to fix dinner, make sure homework is done and do a last minute clean up before you can hop in a shower and wash off the cares and grime of the day.
While you’re luxuriating in the flow of warm water, you can allow your imagination to roam. And one place it often wanders is to the thought of upgrading your bathroom. You’re totally taken with the idea of a glass shower. (They look so good on HGTV and in those home decorating magazines.) If you were going to upgrade to glass, where would you start? What’s the most commonly used glass?
Well, according to Wisconsin Shower Door, it’s clear glass. “It allows you to showcase your shower and create the illusion of a larger bath, allowing the eye to travel through the glass into the shower area. Clear glass works particularly well with the frameless and heavy glass enclosures, giving the door more of a ‘frameless’ appearance,” the company says.
But, it adds, you have lots of choices: “A wide variety of pattern glasses are also available to add a decorative touch to the bathroom. Pattern glass will obscure your view into the shower hiding soaps, shampoos, toys and build up.”
It all depends on your taste, lifestyle and how you want your bathroom to look when the upgrading is over. If you’re not sure, call the experts at Don’s Mobile Glass.
