Need a replacement mirror? Call Don's Mobile Glass.
One of the many items we take for granted are the rear- and side-view mirrors in our cars and trucks. It seems they’ve been there forever. And, according to Wikipedia, they have been around in one form or another at least as far back as 1906 when Dorothy Levitt wrote a book called The Woman and the Car. In it, she suggested that women should "carry a little hand-mirror in a convenient place when driving" so they may "hold the mirror aloft from time to time in order to see behind while driving in traffic." That was a full eight years before auto manufacturers introduced the rear-view mirror in 1914.
Since then, it’s become a kind of multi-purpose car or truck part, allowing the driver to see what’s behind and giving drivers and passengers an easy way to check or upgrade their appearance before exiting the vehicle. Basically, it’s one of those things you don’t notice until it’s not there anymore.
If your mirror cracks, breaks, falls off, or is stolen (perhaps by someone having a makeup or hair emergency), the place you need to call is Don’s Mobile Glass. We have 55 years’ experience in all types of auto, commercial and residential glass and mirrors in Modesto, Merced, Manteca and Turlock – the Central Valley, in other words.
